Lessons Learned: Share Your Survival Story

Do you have first-hand experience with a natural disaster, emergency, or situation that demanded your preparedness skills? At Emergency Essentials, we strongly believe in our mission to help others prepare. One of the ways we do that is by providing education through our Preparedness Pantry blog, Be Prepared Forum, Insight Articles, and Emergency Essentials Prep School. We are looking for people and stories to feature on The Preparedness Pantry blog and Emergency Essentials Facebook page. We know that the lessons you've learned through experience will be incredibly valuable to others who haven't had that experience. If you're willing to share your experience, please fill out the questionnaire below. By submitting the questionnaire, you authorize Emergency Essentials, LLC to use your statements at its sole discretion and as it sees fit. Thanks for sharing your knowledge! Please note:
  • If we select your story for publication, we'll email you asking for any pictures you may have of the aftermath, as well as a full-length picture of you. (We will use your photos in the post, as well as to make a photo like those shown in the banner above, featuring you!)
  • We may also contact you for clarification of unclear responses, or responses about which we would like more detail.
  • Please answer each question in complete sentences.

Cindy,
Thanks for the great suggestion. We currently only have a few lessons learned articles on our blog, but we will start working on gathering more information and stories. Thank you for your interest. And feel free to share any of the blog posts or insight articles on our website with your Ward.

I do a weekly preparedness newsletter for my LDS Ward and would like to include real life stories as part of it. They have weekly assignments for their 72 Hour Kits and Vital Records Book. I think by adding real life stories of lessons learned in emergency situations they will feel more motivated to stay on track. The problem I am finding is locating these stories. I have spent hours and hours on the internet researching story after story. Yours are the closest to what I am looking for, but I can only find a few of them on your blog. Will you please contact me and let me know if you have other stories that I can use. I always thank the blog that supplied the story in my newsletter. I love Emergency Essentials. Thank you, Cindy
