I've not used what I purchased most lately but have used cans in the past for heating on extra cold nights when the electric heat wouldn't or couldn't keep up with the cold. This has done wonderfully and has also meant good hot water for cooking and drinks. When things get really dicey weather wise and no power this has become a real life saver for being comfortable and having something to eat and drink that is hot. The multi-use capability of this unit has been a real life saver and has ensured that what could be a real nasty weather situation has turned the situation into a very viable means of surviving and even thriving during such storms and power outages. The current purchase is only more stock for later needed use.
