Chopped Cheesesteak

(Makes 4 Cheesestakes)




Ingredients:

2 Cups EE Freeze-Dried Beef Dices
1/2 Cup EE Freeze-Dried Diced Green Bell Peppers
1/4 Cup EE Dehydrated Chopped Onions
2 Tbsp EE Butter Powder
1/2 Tsp Garlic powder
1/2 Tsp Onion powder
1/4 Tsp Black pepper
1/4 Tsp EE Iodized Salt
4 Slices Provolone (or your preferred cheese)
2 Cups Water
4 Hoagie rolls (optional)

 

Instructions:

  1. Cook the steak mixture: Add all ingredients to a pan with water and simmer over medium heat until the water evaporates.
  2. Melt the cheese: Reduce heat to medium-low, add your preferred cheese slices, cover for 30 seconds to melt, then stir to combine.
  3. Serve it your way: Spoon the cheesy steak onto toasted hoagie rolls—or serve it chopped on a plate. Toast rolls in a buttered pan until golden, if desired.
