"I ordered these and a few other fruits and vegetables last year to use in my daily cooking. Came back again for more of some of them. I cook for one and when recipes call for half a pepper or a handful of spinach, I find it works better for me to have freeze dried options. When used properly, the taste and texture are good. Packaging is excellent, to the point I’m trying to figure out what to do with all the really nice cans. Delivery was quick and the overall ordering process was good. Only thing I’d like is the ability to create our own “bundle” because they all seem to include mushrooms. 😕 So, probably good for some shelf stable preparedness, but I use them to keep from collecting mushy vegetables in my refrigerator."

Bell Peppers

"Cans came in good condition, were well packed. Diced peppers are small, rehydrate quickly. Nice to have on hand to add to various dishes. Do not have a strong bell pepper taste, which can sometimes be overpowering. Would probably not use these in an uncooked dish, such as salads, as they are not the crisp, crunchy texture that be desired in those dishes."

One of the 3 Essentials of the Cuisine Holy Trinity

"Diced green peppers plus diced onions and celery are not only nutritious, but are also a versatile part of southern cooking, I've socked away peppers and onions 3 of these dehydrated vegies in Emergency Essentials #10 cans for my hurricane emergency pantry. I'd eat the peppers right out of the can if needs be. Unfortunately, EE doesn't sell #10 cans of cellery, so I dehydrated my own and vacuum seal the chunks in mylar bags (hint hint EE). These peppers will also be a tasty addition to any salad or soup. They'll definitely be a healthy accompaniment to any emergency dinner main course in a salad made with EE's spinach, tomato & carrot dices, mushrooms, and maybe a fruit, with few slices of EE's honey whole wheat bread. So bring it on Mother Nature, 'cause I'm ready for ya!"
