"Spent good money on something I had hoped would be able to offer me a bit of security, knowing that I would be able to use it to make a fire, in case of emergency. I was pleased with my purchase for all of about 24 hours. Despite having a full charge, the plasma light failed to ignite. Plan to try to return the item as soon as I get a minute. Hopefully they will offer me a refund. I don’t believe I would want another one."

"This lighter delivers on everything advertised. The USB recharge socket is well secured. The active surface is also well protected. The tinder storage compartment is a wonderful idea. The option to remove the storage compartment altogether for a more compact unit is a nice ooption. The reason I'm a bit disappointed in my purchase is that the lid must be completely unscrewed and removed to use. If using in the dark or in challenging situations there's great potential to drop the loose lid and lose it. This seems a very inportant oversight on the designers' part."
