Great job on the blog. I'll be back.

Great idea! Since it is just me and 3 cats, I have limited storage. I am definitely interested in storage ideas for food and water and cat preparedness.

It is wonderful that there is such a blog as this! I would like to see a daily tip on preparedness as well as useful information such as recipes. I hope that people can ask questions and others can enter input and solutions that have worked for them.

I love the Emergency Essentials store. I was recently made a scoutmaster and had only been camping one other time in my adult life… I like to get the MREs and the MRE heaters to take on camps, because I don't have to wait for the campfire or for a campstove, just a little bit of water, a little bit of time, and I'm eating warm food before anyone else has even started cooking. Emergency Essentials has everything I need for camping and survival. Oh, yeah, and food storage :) Thanks!

I would like to have a blog about resources that we each have learned about that we can share with each other on tips to reduce the costs for items, that may help each of us save money for more important items that we can't currently afford.

One thing missing from a lot of emergency preparedness guides is pet care. While each kit guideline gives water and food amounts for each person in the house, what about the cats, dogs, and other small animals who also make up our families? Also, tips on how to handle pets during emergencies would be helpful!

I'd like to see a discussion about water in an emergency situation. Clean water is a necessity to survival and I'd like to know ideas on it's storage, filtering, treatment, finding more when you run out, rain barrels, etc…

I love the catalogs, but rarely see sales or anything meant for large families (we have 5 children) and almost nothing for children with special needs, like autism, that causes problems with eating certain foods because of texture. Also, how does a family of 7 keep the 3-day pack's weight to a minimum?
Thanks!

I would love to see helps for those of us who are 'getting started' — i.e. the baby steps to preparedness; perhaps some information that would help each of us decide where we should invest our resources and energy first in the categories of food storage, safety, etc. Thank you I am excited to follow your blog.

Interested in what others have in emergency preparedness & if they had to use. Bailout bags. And how to organize so items in kits don't go out of date.

As a group leader, I am frequently asked how long a product will last if stored in favorable conditions. I know there are guidelines on your site to help in this area, BUT I would like to see addressed those dehydrated and freeze-dried products that have a limited long-term storage of less than 10 years. Do products that contain eggs have a shorter storage life?
